THE TOP ACCESSIBLE PHOTOGRAPHY SPOTS IN DUBAI

Dubai Creek

Any time of day is good to shoot here, but there aren’t as many photo opportunities to be had.  Still, it offers different subjects and is good to visit if you’re walking through this itinerary as it has several Abra (water taxi) stations for travelling across to the Bur Dubai side of the creek.

What to capture: Boats, People, Portraits, Lifestyle, Night Long Exposure.

How to get there: Take Metro to Union Station or Al Ghubaiba Station, and walk for 10 to 15 minutes.

The Fish Market

Lots of tourists and photographers visit but if you’re there early you’ll be the only camera there and get the stalls setting up, wholesales haggling with traders, the whole deal.

What to capture: Fish, Fruit & Vegetables, People

How to get there:  The fish market is in Deira, go through Al Shindagha Tunnel and it’s right there, opposite the Gold Souk.

The Old Gold Souk

Lots of local cafes and shops with lots of porters either busy at work or passing their time relaxing mean there are some great photo ops to be had.

The Spice Souk

This area of Deira is very close to the Old Gold Souk and borders Dubai Creek.  Again, there are lots of winding alleyways and streets with stalls selling spices and herbs.  The area used to be thriving but is a lot smaller nowadays and relies heavily on tourist trade.

What to capture: People, Portraits, Shops, Jewellery (Street Product Photography)

How to get to : Take the Metro to Al Ghubaiba Station and ride a boat to cross the creek.
